INDEPENDENCE AND SELF-DETERMINATION

Tapestry Senior Living believes everyone should have the opportunity to remain independent and in charge of their daily lives. To help fulfill this belief Tapestry offers its special brand of Enhanced Living opportunities to encourage and assist a person to develop and maintain maximum independence and self-determination while living in a safe, active, and caring environment.

For a fixed monthly fee, Tapestry Senior Living provides an independent home for each resident with access to community services and amenities and, when needed, assistance with activities of daily living. And of course your beloved companion is welcome to come along on this new adventure – we’re pet friendly!

Basic Services and Amenities

SERVICES INCLUDED IN ENHANCED LIVING

In addition to your new home, the monthly fee includes the following:

Housekeeping

Weekly housekeeping services.

Utilities

Electricity, gas, water, sewer, trash, and cable TV.

Internet

Wi-Fi access to high-speed Internet.

Telephone

 Local and domestic long-distance services.

Dining Services

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served in one of our dining rooms. Snacks and beverages are always available in multiple locations throughout the community.

Emergency Services 24/7/365

Community staff members are always on-site to assist with your needs, including notification of the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) for assistance.

Laundry

Personal clothing, flat linens, and towels laundered weekly.  A free laundry is also available for self-service.

Maintenance

Maintenance of your apartment, the building, and surrounding grounds.

Your Apartment

Each resident has their own apartment to decorate and make their home. The resident is encouraged to furnish their apartment with his/her own furniture. If a resident does not have sufficient furnishings, the community will furnish necessary items as required by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

Common Areas

Residents have the complete use and enjoyment of all common areas, including our fabulous atrium gardens, activity rooms, dining rooms, seating areas, private rooms for family gatherings, outdoor courtyards, and grounds.

Life Enrichment

Tapestry Senior Living provides programs designed to engage residents in social, cultural, and recreational activities that appeal to residents’ hobbies, interests, and passions. Residents are encouraged to engage with other residents in creating clubs and groups of common interest. A full-time program director is on staff to develop and coordinate programs and to assist residents in creating special-interest clubs and group activities.

Transportation

Scheduled transportation is provided to assist residents to attend activities outside of the community such as shopping, entertainment, or local area events at no additional cost. Should a resident be unable to attend certain activities or events for health or safety reasons, Tapestry can provide escort services for an additional fee.

Appointment Coordination

Assistance in coordinating healthcare appointments and services such as podiatry, dental, labs, X-ray, home health care services from outside the Community, and scheduled transportation as needed.

Peace of Mind

Daily “I’m OK” checks to make sure all is well.

Optional Services

SERVICES TAILORED TO YOUR NEEDS

Prior to becoming a resident of a Tapestry Senior Living community, we will provide a personalized assessment to help you to determine if you will need additional assistance with activities of daily living. All optional services are subject to appropriate additional charges.

 

Concierge Services

We can also provide such services as daily newspaper delivery, valet parking, dog walking, technology assistance, shopping, dry cleaning delivery and pickup, or other services needed to make your day easier.

Ancillary Services and Products

In addition to the standard Services and Amenities, your Tapestry Senior Living Community can customize a program to provide other non-routine services and products. 

Additional Information

MORE SERVICE OPTIONS

The Resident may receive services from outside providers, such as a home health care provider you have been using, in the community so long as the outside provider is properly licensed, insured, certified, complies with all applicable government rules, and the community’s policies.  The Resident desiring to use such services must first notify the community prior to engaging any outside person or entity to allow Tapestry to determine what specific licensing, rules, and policies may apply.

For those services that your Tapestry Senior Living Community does not provide, it can assist with a listing of various third-party goods/services vendors for items such as eyeglasses and dentures, pediatric care, psychiatric consultation, physical, speech and occupational therapy, skilled nursing, prescription medications, and medical services by physician/physician assistant/certified nurse practitioners.  Any such services and items will be billed to the resident by the third-party provider.

Personal expense items are the responsibility of the resident. Listed below are typical items for which the resident is responsible (not intended to be a complete list):

  1. Clothing and personal articles.
  2. Soap, shampoo, toiletries, and other personal hygiene items.
  3. Medications, pharmacy supplies, medical expenses, and durable medical equipment.
  4. Modified diet supplies and equipment; e.g. fortified shakes and specialty utensils.
  5. Third-party health care providers – Physicians, ophthalmology/optometry, podiatry, physical, speech and occupational therapies, lab/X-ray services, and medical supplies.
  6. Miscellaneous – Dry cleaning, personal newspaper, salon fees for services and products, etc.
  7. Unscheduled transportation.
