“Every family in America has been touched in some way by Alzheimer’s or other cognitive disease. My family is no exception. The journey that our family walked was filled with tears & laughter, frustrations and moments of grace, wishes and could-have-beens. Until the blessed day that there is a cure, Tapestry will be here to walk with you and your family along that journey.”
— Christopher Blum, Tapestry CEO
Tapestry’s person-centered approach is evident in our memory care neighborhoods. We treat each person at Tapestry as a unique individual with a story to tell. Throughout this journey, our team of caregivers work to make sure each resident remains an actively engaged community member.
At Tapestry, we rely heavily on the teachings of nationally acclaimed dementia educator and advocate, Teepa Snow. Teepa’s “Positive Approach to Brain Change” forms the basis for how we train and lead our caregiving team. Using current understanding of how the brain changes with dementia, we work to create a supportive environment filled with real meaningful personal connections.
